Michigan got yet another presidential campaign visit today. Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine was in Detroit.
Kaine spoke at Focus: HOPE.
Focus:HOPE is a nonprofit that works to fight racial injustice and poverty. Kaine talked about running mate Hillary Clinton’s plan to end poverty.
Watch his speech here:
Sandy Levin is the U.S. Congressman for Michigan’s 9th District, which includes parts of southeast Michigan. He says support for Clinton is strong in his district.
“I think more and more middle class families realize that Hillary Clinton will stand up for them. Donald Trump, I think, there’s really increasing disillusionment and in some cases disgust," says Levin.
Kaine’s visit comes on the heels of Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence’s visit yesterday.
