RNC Chair Ronna Romney McDaniel tests positive for COVID-19

migop.org

Republican National Committee Chair Ronna Romney McDaniel tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday.

The news comes hours after the White House announced President Donald Trump and his wife Melania tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

The RNC says she's been isolating at home in Michigan since Saturday and has mild symptoms.

McDaniel is the former chair of the Michigan Republican Party.

She's also the granddaughter of former Michigan Governor George Romney, and U.S. Senator Mitt Romney's niece.

This is a developing story.
