The Bee Day Festival hosted by River Raisin Beekeepers Club in Adrian is a one-day event held each May to celebrate our pollinators and educate our local community regarding their importance in our ecosystem. We bring together beekeepers, gardeners, and educators with the public to talk about the pollinators about what they do, why they are important, and how everyone can help. This is our fifth year holding the event and we get bigger and better with each passing year.We have many activities for the public to enjoy and be entertained throughout the day. We have an observation hive showing honeybees at work so people can safely see these amazing creatures doing what they do best. And yes, they are fully encased, so everyone is safe from the bees on display. We also have a kid crafting table where we have different activities kids can do to help learn about honeybees, games for the kids and adults, a honey tasting booth, a scavenger hunt and photo backdrops for you to enjoy. We bring in food trucks and lots of vendors that carry everything pollinator! You can find a wide variety of pollinator themed products made by local artisans. And of course, there are beekeepers with the wonderful golden liquid we all love…. Honey! We hold a silent auction at the festival with items of all kinds that have been donated by our generous local businesses and festival vendors. All proceeds from the silent auction go to support the festival and our youth beekeeper mentorship program. This is all done with the wonderful and gracious members of the River Raisin Beekeepers Club that volunteer their time and efforts to make this a fun experience year after year.

Step into a powerful new exhibition celebrating the fearless women of the Greek Revolution.
#WeAreGreekWarriors brings the heroines of 1821 into today’s cultural conversation through bold contemporary art and modern storytelling. Fighters, strategists, and champions of freedom, these extraordinary women helped shape history, yet many of their names remain unknown.
Now, their stories come to life at the Hellenic Museum of Michigan in a groundbreaking exhibition featuring original campaign prints alongside stunning works by acclaimed contemporary artist Ramona Pintea. Reclaiming history through a fresh, fearless lens, the exhibit honors and highlights the women of the Greek Revolution while speaking directly to the women of today. Through dynamic programming, cultural events, and interactive experiences, it connects the strength of 1821 to the leadership, voices, and impact of women now.
Women of all backgrounds and generations are invited to experience this inspiring tribute and rediscover their own warrior spirit.
For more information, visit www.hellenicmi.org.
This exhibition honors the commitment of our members from SE Michigan and beyond, whose support plays a vital role in bringing our mission to life. We welcome the public to discover the unique artistic voices and styles of over 100 member artists.
