The Packard Farmers Market returns for the 2026 season at the Packard Proving Grounds Historic Site. Formerly the Shelby Farmers Market, the rebranded market runs Saturdays from May 16 through October 10, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Shop local farmers, artisans, bakers, and makers in a historic outdoor setting. The market is open on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends and closed Saturday, July 4. Proceeds support the preservation of the Packard Proving Grounds.

Hear guest performers play the 60-bell Lurie Carillon Tower in our Monday evening outdoor concerts, which are family-, pet-, and picnic-friendly. The music happens rain or shine. When you arrive, take a program from the stand near the tower and have a seat outdoors wherever you like, or bring your own lawn chair or blanket (even your own picnic!). Concert staff wearing nametags will be available to answer questions or direct you to accessible restrooms and other facilities. For best acoustics, sit far enough away from the tower to have a direct line of sight to the bells.
PARKING: Metered visitor parking is available behind the Walgreen Drama Center. Additional street parking along Bonisteel Blvd. is available after business hours, and metered visitor parking is available by the E.V. Moore Building (lot NC10), the North Campus Recreation Building (lot NC44), and the Art & Architecture Building (lot NC43).

A FREE One-Day Music Bootcamp for Girls, in Partnership with Broadway GRWhether your child has years of performance experience or simply loves to sing around the house, Girls Choral Academy invites girls in grades 6-12 to spend a day discovering the joy of music, creativity, and performance in a fun, welcoming environment where every girl has the opportunity to discover her voice.Throughout this interactive experience, participants will write songs, explore storytelling through lyrics, learn movement for the stage, build audition confidence, work with experienced teaching artists, and perform in a community showcase to end the day.
Learn from Music Industry & Broadway ProfessionalsParticipants will take part in an exclusive master class led by a cast member from the National Touring Production of The Great Gatsby, coming to Grand Rapids later this summer! They will learn professional performance techniques, build stage confidence, and gain insight into what it's like to perform in a Broadway national tour. It's a unique opportunity to be inspired by a working Broadway artist while discovering new skills and confidence on stage.

Classes will take place Wednesdays and will feature fun and interactive classes for young children that encourage movement, language, social skills, and activities that support speech all while bonding through music. The annual Woodhouse 5K for New Day offers a powerful opportunity to run and walk for a cause that makes an immediate, local impact. The money is raised to directly provide financial and emotional support to local families facing cancer. By getting involved, supporters can receive sponsorship opportunities for the race, volunteer throughout the route, or build a team to honor a special cancer warrior.
On Saturday, July 25 at 8:00 a.m., enjoy a morning of fun and fitness beginning and ending at Rochester Municipal Park, 400 6th St., and throughout the streets of downtown Rochester. Whether you are an experienced runner or walking, the Woodhouse 5K for New Day is a family-fun event that benefits Michigan families facing cancer through New Day Foundation for Families.
Registration to participate in the Woodhouse 5K is $45 per person and free to children ages 5 and under. Other ways to support this event are a personalized cancer warrior and memorial sign along the route of the course, sponsorship plugs, donations and forming a team.
