1.7 million Michiganders are expected to travel more than 50 miles for the Thanksgiving weekend, according to AAA.
Absentee ballot bills advance from Senate committee
Many Michigan clerks would have eight days to pre-process absentee ballots under a Senate bill package that made it out of committee Tuesday. The eight-day window would apply to cities or townships with at least 5,000 residents. Smaller communities would be allowed to pre-process on the Monday before an election.
U of M study: Michigan nurses report improving working conditions, but job dissatisfaction remains an issue
According to the survey, nearly a third of Michigan nurses say they plan to leave their current position, which is actually an improvement over a U of M survey in 2022.
