The state of Michigan will pay $1.75 million to Louis Wright. Wright who spent 35 years in prison, was wrongly convicted of sexual assault. He was released in November 2023.

Michigan Senate inches homeless youth, human trafficking bills closer to final vote
Currently, organizations have only have 24 hours to get permission from a guardian to serve a homeless or runaway child. The legislation would extend that to 72 hours.
