Michigan Radio will welcome the BBC Newshour to Michigan in early March as part of a reporting and outreach initiative. The week of March 4, members of the BBC Newshour team will be reporting from Ann Arbor and Detroit to help bring a Michigan news perspective to the world.
On Thursday, March 7 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m., Michigan Radio will host a special version of the station’s popular Issues & Ale discussion series. The topic for the discussion will be “International Perspectives on American Politics.” BBC Newshour host/presenter James Coomarasamy and Newshour editor Jo Floto will join Michigan Radio’s Lester Graham to talk about how some of the major stories in American politics, like the government shut down and the border wall, are viewed and reported elsewhere in the world.
