Michigan Public is currently accepting applications for a summer internship position in our newsroom. Responsibilities include researching story topics, conducting phone and in-person interviews, production assistance, writing news copy for anchors, attending press conferences, and producing multimedia material for our website.

As the host, you will be a friendly and knowledgeable guide, helping listeners start their day and move through their mornings with local inserts into network programs including regional news updates, traffic, and weather.

This intern position will be working both in Operations and Marketing. Each area will require 5-10 hours per week. Some weeks may vary, so it is important to be flexible and willing to learn in both areas. May occasionally be required to work some evenings/weekends at events needed.
