Archiving the World: The Bentley Library and U-M's International Aspirations
Archiving the World: The Bentley Library and U-M's International Aspirations
Did you know that the Bentley Historical Library has helped shape U-M's global mission by connecting with libraries all over the world?
Join us to hear from former Bentley Director Fran Blouin as he reveals how the Bentley forged connections with colleagues in China, France, Russia, the Vatican, post-apartheid South Africa, and many other countries, beginning in the 1970s, in order to share and learn from each other.
During this talk you’ll get the details of how these conversations helped build a global reputation for the Bentley, and ultimately helped develop the global mission of U-M.
Refreshments will be provided, and anyone is welcome to attend this free talk either in person at U-M's historic Detroit Observatory in Ann Arbor, or online.
