Sheep & Solar Open House

Sheep & Solar Open House
With recent federal attacks on renewable energy, now is the time to combat misinformation and continue spreading the word about the benefits of solar energy in our communities. That’s why we’re inviting you to a hands-on, eye-opening event at Heritage Sustainable Energy’s solar site on October 4 from 10 AM – 1 PM.
Get ready to explore the dual-purpose world of agrivoltaics—an innovative practice of growing crops or raising livestock under solar panels. You’ll get to experience sheep grazing on hard-to-remove invasive species, see how we can restore native landscapes with vibrant pollinator plants from Birdsfoot Nursery, and hear firsthand how sheep and solar are a win-win for farmers and the land. Then, you’ll enjoy a free and delicious meal from Taqueria Las Lagunas and build connections with farmers, developers, community members, and local leaders, who are all working together to develop more sustainable agriculture and clean energy.
Spots are limited to just 50 people, so don’t wait—register today!
