The Washington Post’s The Fix politics blog has named three public radio reporters in Michigan as “outstanding politics reporters to follow” in the state. They include Michigan Radio’s Zoe Clark, Rick Pluta of the Michigan Public Radio Network, and Abigail Censky from WKAR.
Zoe Clark is Michigan Radio’s Program Director and political analyst. Rick Pluta is the State Capitol Bureau Chief for the Michigan Public Radio Network, and covers Michigan government and politics for public radio stations across the state. Abigail Censky is the politics and government reporter for WKAR.
“With so many local and regional news organizations struggling right now — some for their very survival — their reporters are working harder than ever to find the time and resources to do the job that we need them to do,” said Washington Post columnist Margaret Sullivan. “And that is to hold public officials to account on behalf of citizens.”
The Washington Post list highlighted a total of seventeen politics reporters in Michigan, including reporters from TV, newspapers and digital news organizations. You can find the complete list here.
