'Caring for Your Collections' is a free and educational workshop led by Jared Yax; Collections Curator. This experience will take place at Tri-Cities Historical Museum's Community Archives and Research Center.

The workshop will begin with a lecture detailing how museums preserve artifacts and how these techniques can be applied at home with your own collections. Attendees will learn about agents of deterioration, optimal preservation conditions, and where to find materials and resources that are needed to keep objects safe. The workshop will conclude with a tour of the museum’s storage and preservation facility.

Feel free to bring along a piece from your collection to learn more about how to properly care and preserve it!
