HIS Dance Ensemble is proud to present Jonah, an original ballet inspired by the well-known biblical narrative. This captivating performance will take place on Saturday, March 8, with shows at 1:00pm and 4:30pm at the DeVos Center for Arts and Worship, located at Grand Rapids Christian High School (2300 Plymouth Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506).

This powerful production combines stunning choreography, professional scenery, costumes, and lighting to immerse audiences in the story of JONAH. The ballet focuses on themes of grace, mercy, and love, bringing to life the timeless message of God’s compassion toward His creation. Jonah goes beyond the well-known imagery of the great fish and the wicked city of Nineveh, highlighting the depths of God's grace and His willingness to reconcile with mankind despite rebellion.

Directed by Tassia Johnson, Christina Perry, and Sarah Walters, this production features choreography that blends classical ballet technique with creative storytelling. Special guest artists from ARISE COLLECTIVE add an exciting new dimension to the performance.
