Matrix Theatre Company invites poets, writers, and lovers of language to come together for a vibrant afternoon of creativity and connection at our next Matrix Poetry Residencies Workshop & Open Mic on Saturday, October 19 at 3:00 PM.

This month’s event is hosted by the dynamic poet and performer One Single Rose®, and features our October Resident Poet, the renowned Detroit Poet Laureate Dr. Gloria House. Whether you’re an experienced writer or just starting to explore your voice, this workshop is designed to spark inspiration and deepen your craft.

Workshop – 3:00 PM
Join us for an engaging, hands-on poetry workshop where you’ll learn new techniques, experiment with form and language, and connect with fellow poets.
Workshop Fee: $20 – includes entry to the open mic.

Open Mic – Immediately Following
After the workshop, step up to the mic and share your words – or sit back and enjoy the powerful voices of our local poetry community. The open mic is Pay What You Want, and sign-ups happen in person before the show.
