World-renowned Motown recording artists Rare Earth will be performing at Detroit’s iconic Majestic Theatre—their first downtown Detroit show in almost two decades—on Saturday, July 8. Kicking off their 2023 tour, the first Rare Earth shows since the pandemic, the band will be performing their popular songs, “I Just Want to Celebrate,” “Get Ready,” and “Losing you,” plus other hits. Also performing with Rare Earth will be special guests Detroit’s own Doop and the Inside Outlaws. A firefighter born and raised in industrial River Rouge, Michigan, Don “Doop” Duprie writes songs that reflect his deep working-class roots.
