Cruise over to Campus Martius Park for the Yacht Rock Beach Party on Aug. 8. As part of Downtown Detroit Partnership’s Beach Party series, it’s a chance to experience a night of smooth sailing and beachside fun in the heart of downtown Detroit.

During the event, attendees will be treated to the soft sounds of “yacht rock,” featuring nautical-themed hits like Christopher Cross’s 1979 classic, “Sailing.” Metro Detroit’s premier Jimmy Buffet cover band The Leaky Tiki’s will perform live on the MGM Grand Detroit Stage, while a DJ keeps the party going with everyone’s favorite yacht rock tunes. Guests are encouraged to don their best Hawaiian shirts to win prizes for the best beach-fit Yachties and enjoy signature-themed drinks and giveaways courtesy of Tito’s Handmade Vodka.
