Trapped Russian Submarine Rescued
A Russian mini-submarine trapped for three days 620 feet under the Pacific Ocean has surfaced; all seven crew members are alive and in good condition. They were freed after an unmanned British craft cut the undersea cable that had snarled the submarine.

No Charges In Destruction Of CIA Interrogation Tapes
The Justice Department confirmed a report that there wasn't enough evidence to bring an indictment. The tapes depicted interrogation of terrorism detainees during the Bush administration. They were destroyed five years ago amid an uproar over photos of detainee abuse at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq.
Report: Tour de France Winner Failed Drug Test
The outcome of the Tour de France is in question after test results showed that race-winner Floyd Landis tested positive for high levels of testosterone during the event. Landis was suspended by his team following the announcement. Another sample from the race will be tested before any permanent action is taken. Andrew Hood, of VeloNews, talks with Alex Chadwick about the allegations.

White House Looks for Optimism in Iraq Study Report
The White House says President Bush will take the Iraq Study Group's report "very seriously" -- but reiterates that it is not bound by the panel's conclusions. Robert Siegel talks with White House Press Secretary Tony Snow. Despite the report's strong negative language describing the current situation in Iraq, Snow says it is not a rejection of the administration's policies.
