On Saturday March 12, 2022 at 1:00 & 4:30 pm, HIS Dance Ensemble will be performing RED, an original contemporary ballet retelling the story of Red Riding Hood. Through this live-action dance interpretation of a beloved classic, we will see ourselves in Red’s journey as she must face decisions to stay focused and seek truth. Through the intergenerational relationship between Grandmother, Mother and Red, we will see the story from a biblical perspective. Choosing the path set before her while being distracted by sin that so easily entangles will resonate with all audience members. Original choreography by Tassia Johnson, Hannah Sullivan and Sarah Powell is being restaged by Tassia Johnson, Christina Perry, Olga Smelik, and Sarah Walters.
