Honoring Rosa Parks - Free day
On December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks was arrested for refusing to give up her seat to a white man on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Alabama. Mrs. Parks' courageous act sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott, a foundational moment in the nationwide Civil Rights Movement.
To mark the 70th anniversary of Mrs. Parks' powerful act, The Henry Ford will offer free admission and parking at Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation on December 1. Visit to see the bus where Rosa Parks made history and discover stories of everyday people inspiring extraordinary change.
