What: Meta (formerly Facebook) is launching a series of events called Meta Boost Small Business Studios, to help small business owners enhance their success online and keep up with the latest trends on social media. Meta’s first stop on the tour is Detroit, Michigan.

The free event will bring together Detroit small business owners and entrepreneurs for hands-on learning from Facebook and Instagram experts and local influencers. The Small Business Studio will offer in-person workshops for emerging formats like Reels, as more people consume short-form video content on social platforms. It will also offer a glimpse into the future, bringing a piece of the metaverse to life with demos of Meta Quest 2 virtual reality experiences, Ray-Ban Stories “smart sunglasses”, and other tech shaping the future. These immersive experiences are designed to foster a learning environment, inspiring small businesses to be creative.

Any small business employee who wants to learn more about digital marketing and Meta products that can help boost their business. Whether you’re just establishing your social media presence or already running your own ads, you can learn new and innovative tips to bring back to your business.

In addition, there will be a digital skills and solutions desk onsite to help small businesses set up and navigate Business Suite and remediate tech problems. The agenda will feature a range of programming — from workshops to panels to main stage sessions. You will also have the opportunity to meet 1:1 with an expert at our Support Bar.
