Literati is hosting Perry Janes on the release of his first book of poetry, Find Me When You're Ready. Perry will speak about his poetry and read from his new book in the welcoming and relaxed setting Literati always provides. He is joined by Peter Ho Davies and Tommye Blount for this evening.

Perry is a Detroit native, an alum of U of M, the winner of five Hopwood Awards and a student Oscar for his film Zug as well as a Pushcart Prize. His poems trace the arc of his life through childhood sexual abuse, reconsiders lessons about manhood and his reclaiming the joys of childhood as an adult.
