The centerpiece of the evening is George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, a masterwork that embodies the jazz-infused vibrancy of early 20th-century New York. Accompanying this landmark piece are compositions by Dimitri Shostakovich and Erich Wolfgang Korngold, two European composers who left an indelible mark on American music.

Sprinkled through the evening you’ll hear newly-arranged suites of beloved musicals and film scores, including Chicago, Pirates of the Caribbean, Schindler’s List, Downton Abbey, Fiddler on the Roof, Waitress, and Mamma Mia.

Between the five musicians on stage, The Broadway Strings claim 110 Broadway shows and 26 Off-Broadway shows (including the Radio City Christmas Spectacular) to their credits!
