Southwest Detroit Business Association Hosts Annual Community Investment Breakfast, Presented by Bank of America, Oct. 3
The Southwest Detroit Business Association (SDBA) will host its 2025 Community Investment Breakfast, presented by Bank of America, on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, from 8 – 10 a.m. at The Corner Ballpark, 1680 Michigan Ave., Detroit. This year’s theme, “Building Beyond the Bridge,” will focus on connecting business, culture, and community while celebrating SDBA’s nearly 70 years of service to Southwest Detroit. Wayne County Executive Warren C. Evans will deliver the keynote address, and WXYZ-TV Editorial/Public Affairs Director Chuck Stokes will serve as master of ceremonies.
Each year, the SDBA recognizes outstanding business and community leaders whose contributions strengthen the vitality of Southwest Detroit. Awards to be presented include:
- Community Investment Award
- Real Estate Investment Award
- Business Investment Award
- Southwest Champion Award
For nearly seven decades, the SDBA has been dedicated to advancing BIPOC, immigrant, and Latina/o businesses; supporting cultural market expansion; fostering entrepreneurship; and driving long-term economic stability in Southwest Detroit.
More than 200 business and community leaders are expected to attend this annual fundraiser, which takes place during Hispanic Heritage Month. Tickets are $100 per person and are available on our website:
