Thunder Bay International Film Festival

Thunder Bay International Film Festival

Every year Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary brings the world of cinema to Alpena! In January, northeast Michigan is treated to some of the most impressive ocean and Great Lakes films from around the world. Film screenings are complemented by social events, educational activities, and opportunities to meet filmmakers. This event is possible because of a partnership with the International Ocean Film Festival.

The festival begins in Rogers City on Wednesday, January 21, moves to Harrisville on January 22nd, and stays in Alpena for January 23 to 25. View entire schedule and purchase tickets here: https://thunderbayfriends.org/index.php/film-festival/

More than 60 films will be shared over the weekend in three different locations. Check out the schedule to start planning your film festival weekend!
