Come in from the cold as the Ann Arbor Concert Band continues its 45th concert season when David Leach, Artistic Director and Conductor, presents “Shall We Dance?” highlighting the imaginative and musical genius of songs and composers articulating the diverse Art of Dance. This concert features the uplifting “Wedding Dance” by Jacques Press, the festive “Conga del Fuego Nuevo” by Arturo Marquez, Malcolm Arnold’s “Four Scottish Dances”, James Barnes dynamic “Torch Dance”, Michael Gandolfi’s tantalizing “Vientos Y Tangos”, “Suite of Old American Dances”, by Robert Russell Bennett, “Symphonic Dance No.3 (“Fiesta”) by Clifton Williams and the fast and furious “Folk Dances” by Dmitri Shostakovich, edited by H. Robert Reynolds!
