DISASTERPIECE: Prepare a five-minute story about a failure so epic, it became a work of art. A magnificent misfire. A glorious flop. Throwing spaghetti at the wall and failing upward. That last-minute improvisation that was mistaken for genius, so you just went with it. Whether it’s a community rallying after a natural disaster, a seeming setback that unexpectedly changed your life for the better, or an April Fools’ prank that sparked a reconciliation — paint us your disasterpieces!

We will never tell your child to hush or stop wiggling. Physically-distanced with stringent health and safety protocols being followed. It’s the summer of 1776, and the nation is ready to declare independence … if only the founding fathers agree to it! This musical follows John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson as they attempt to convince members of Congress to sign the Declaration of Independence. With humor and a stirring score, the Tony® Award-winning musical presents the frustrations and triumphs of our founding fathers. Presented in partnership with the Midland County Historical Society, and in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the birth of the United States. 1776 brings a fresh look at the people, and the compromises that defined a revolution.

Shades of Pink Foundation’s (SOPF) highly anticipated annual event, “A Walk at the Zoo,” is set for Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Detroit Zoo. This family-friendly event aims to bring together more than 3,000 participants in support of those undergoing breast cancer treatment in Southeast Michigan, with a goal of raising $500K. Funds raised stay local and will provide crucial financial assistance for everyday living expenses, ensuring patients can focus on healing, not bills.

The West Michigan Potters Guild with the Woodland Weavers and Spinners Guild offers the public a chance to purchase beautiful, handcrafted gift items made by both the guild’s members at this Spring Sale. The members’ creativity is showcased in the items for sale such as pottery, garments, scarves, hats and many more fashion accessories. Also, available are a wide variety of towels, rugs, pillows, wall hangings and many other items for the home.
