As Snyder prepares to deliver last State of the State, just how is Michigan faring?

Tonight, Michigan Governor Rick Snyder will deliver his annual State of the State address. Because of term limits, it will be his last.

You can watch the speech heretonight. You’ll also hear lots of analysis afterward, and on Stateside tomorrow.

But today, we didn’t talk about any of that. Instead, we talked to reporter Ron French. He published an article in Bridge Magazine today titled, “No offense, Gov. Snyder, but here’s Michigan’s real ‘State of the State.’”

French joined Stateside today to explain what he says is the “real" state of the state.

Read French’s article here, or listen to his conversation with Stateside host Lester Graham above.
