Potential GOP presidential candidates plan Michigan trips
There’s a busy spring in store for Michigan Republicans looking to see the party’s presidential hopefuls in action.
Four potential GOP candidates have plans to visit the Great Lakes State during April and May.
Ohio Governor John Kasich gets things started on April 13 when he heads to Cobo Center to speak at a Detroit Economic Club luncheon. Gov. Kasich will give a talk called “The Ohio Comeback Model.”
Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker will head to Novi in early May to speak at the Oakland County Republican Party’s annual Lincoln Day Dinner.
The Michigan Chamber of Commerce Foundation has invited former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina to share her leadership experiences with legislators and business owners on May 12. Organizers say the talk is a non-partisan event.
At the end of next month, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush returns to the state to speak to Clinton and Ingham County Republicans at their Lincoln Day Dinner.
Bush last visited Detroit in February.
