Join us for an art sale to raise money for the 31st Annual Exhibition of Artists in Michigan Prisons. This sale will feature artwork from our donated art collection, a collection of artwork created by incarcerated artists. Contributing artists have all been featured in previous annual exhibitions and chose to donate these works to PCAP for classes, external exhibitions, or fundraisers. All proceeds from this sale support travel to all Michigan prisons, artwork photography and preparation, exhibit installation, and events for the 31st Annual Exhibition.

Decorations will be lit Nov. 27, 2026 through Jan. 4, 2027 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. every night.

These holiday displays and lights are created by local businesses or organizations. We have over 30 displays and additional lighted displays and photo stations.

This event is free for all ages. Pine Grove Park is located at 1204 Pine Grove Ave. in Port Huron, MI. Free on-site parking is available.

Tipsy Ypsi offers public events throughout the week and private events anytime. With over a 14 years of Paint & Pour Party experience, we’ve developed a creative night on the town that combines art and entertainment! Grab a drink and a brush and follow along as we walk you, step-by-step, through the evening’s featured painting.

Events run for approximately 2-3 hours with FREQUENT sip breaks. You will leave with a painting that is uniquely yours, and you’ll be amazed at the art you can bring to life.

We are NOT a franchise/chain, we do things Detroit style.

Originally from Wimberley, Texas, Sarah Jarosz is a six-time GRAMMY Award winning singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Since her recorded debut in 2009, she has released seven solo albums and two albums with I’m With Her, her band with Sara Watkins and Aoife O’Donovan. In addition to her multiple GRAMMY, Americana Music Association, and Folk Alliance awards, her work has received widespread critical praise from publications including Rolling Stone, The New York Times, and USA Today. Jarosz has appeared three times on PBS’s legendary Austin City Limits television show and numerous times on A Prairie Home Companion, Live From Here, and the Grand Ole Opry. She is currently based in Nashville, Tennessee.

Changes over the course of the nineteenth century in how Americans voted, from voice vote to public ballot box to private voting booth, also saw changes in the material culture that surrounded voting. Ballots and ballot boxes, campaign pins and ribbons, blank lists and pre-printed party tickets, lanterns and banners–the creative forces of the American print industry filled the country’s cities and small towns with the ephemera of electioneering.

As you look at the items in this exhibit, think about what they tell us about how Americans in the past felt about voting, and about how voting felt. How did Election Days feel when they were full of parades and music and public drinking? What was it like to vote when everyone around you knew who you voted for? And, most of all, who counted as a voter, and who did the counting?

On view September 11-December 22, weekdays from 12-4 pm.
