A Michigan ballot campaign to tax people more if they make over half a million dollars a year faced a setback Thursday at a state elections board meeting.

This year’s election certification went relatively smoothly and without drama compared to 2020, when lies and conspiracies about the election being stolen took hold.

Among the results: Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mike Rogers will appear on Michigan’s ballot, despite an effort from Democrats to challenge his nominating petitions.
