Talk It Out, Walk It Out, presented by Remembering Cherubs in partnership with The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, is an annual awareness walk and community event to raise awareness of the health disparities impacting Black women. It serves as the kickoff event for Black Women's Health Month in Detroit.

Emceed by WDIV Local 4 News host Tati Amare, the kickoff event is held on Saturday,
August 1, 2026, and includes an opening ceremony and community conversation, followed by the symbolic awareness walk. Participants engage in structured wellness and educational experiences, including:

• Mini-workshops on under-discussed health topics
• Healthy food demonstrations
• Sound bath sessions
• Culture-centered interactive activities
• Access to the “For Us” Marketplace featuring local vendors
• $1,500 Target gift card giveaway, and more

Step into a powerful new exhibition celebrating the fearless women of the Greek Revolution.

#WeAreGreekWarriors brings the heroines of 1821 into today’s cultural conversation through bold contemporary art and modern storytelling. Fighters, strategists, and champions of freedom, these extraordinary women helped shape history, yet many of their names remain unknown.

Now, their stories come to life at the Hellenic Museum of Michigan in a groundbreaking exhibition featuring original campaign prints alongside stunning works by acclaimed contemporary artist Ramona Pintea. Reclaiming history through a fresh, fearless lens, the exhibit honors and highlights the women of the Greek Revolution while speaking directly to the women of today. Through dynamic programming, cultural events, and interactive experiences, it connects the strength of 1821 to the leadership, voices, and impact of women now.

Women of all backgrounds and generations are invited to experience this inspiring tribute and rediscover their own warrior spirit.

Join The Natural Dye Company and MIgardener in St. Clair for a fun and creative natural dye event! In this hands-on workshop, you'll create your own naturally dyed 100% cotton bandana using a shibori resist technique and a natural dye made from marigolds!

Sensory Friendly showtimes are designed to feature brighter house lights, lowered volume, and open captions while also providing an opportunity for moviegoers to bring in their own personal devices, along with any food times for those with dietary restrictions.

When Ren and his mother move from Chicago to a small farming town, he is prepared for the inevitable adjustment period at his new high school.
